My hubby and I have matching lamps and mind you they are from Target but so trendy in polished nickel. His twisty on switch stem thingy broke and he has been unplugging it behind our king bed.
The hardware store sells a touch lamp adapter you plug in the wall and the lamp cord plugs into it. Now when you touch the lamp it turns on in 3 different light levels. Seriously fixed in 5 seconds and it makes it so easy that I am thinking of adding it to all my lamps, so I don't have to twist my arm up in the light to turn it on. So many great gadgets out there!
